Eustis is a small town on the shores of the peaceful Eustis Lake. This community is located in in the heart of central Florida is close to the Orlando-Kissimmee Metropolitan Area and the attractions that bring throngs of people to Florida each year. Although Eustis is in the center of the entertainment region, this town retains its small, “home town” feel by holding fast to its historical roots. Eustis is known for its George Fest celebration every February. This festival started in 1902 in honor of the United States’ first president, George Washington. Today, this celebration has grown to encompass a “citrus squeezing” competition, cart races, and historical reenactments.
